How to Set Up a QR Code for Craft Fair Promotion

QR codes are extremely useful when it comes to your neighborhood craft fair. We like to use them in 2 ways:

1. Use them to help interested participants from your neighborhood become official vendors using our customizable flier.

2. Use them for our printable postcards a couple of weeks before your craft fair, to leave on people’s doors, letting them instantly visit your Facebook event page to learn more about the fair.

Read on to get detailed instructions for adding QR codes to your Canva Templates!

Use #1: Create a QR code that leads to your neighborhood vendor form

First, let’s learn how to create a QR code for participants in your neighborhood. It will lead to your Google form. Here are the steps you need to take:

1. First, your participant form needs to be filled out and ready to go. Go here to customize your participant form if you haven’t already. Once that’s ready, click on Send in the upper right corner of the page, click the link icon, then click Copy.

2. Create a QR code. We like using www.qrcode-monkey.com. Paste the link you just copied into the field “Your URL.”

3. Click Create QR Code, then click Download PNG.

4. In Canva, click “Upload Files,” and upload your QR code. Drag it to replace the placeholder. Then, have a friend test the QR code to make sure it takes them to your form.

Congratulations, you’re done!

Use #2: Add a QR code to postcard that advertises the upcoming fair.

Now, let’s learn how to create a QR code for our printable postcard. It will lead to your Facebook Event page.

1. Go to your Facebook event page. Click the curved arrow underneath the title of your event, and select “Copy a link to invite others. Once that’s done, you can continue on to step 2 above!
